Istralandia near Novigrad counters with what many consider the better children's zones and a huge wave pool that hosts foam parties in peak season.

Both work the same way for tickets: adults and reduced-height children pay set prices, and small children below the height line (100 cm at Aquacolors, 90 cm at Istralandia) enter free. Both are open roughly from late May to mid-September - if your trip lands in that window and the forecast says sun, either park is a guaranteed full-day win. Skyfox: the adventure park in the trees

Skyfox Adventure Park near Poreč is the land-based counterpart: high-rope courses, ziplines and climbing trails organised into colour-graded routes by age and height, from a Baby Trail for the smallest visitors up to the Gold Pass courses for teenagers and adults who think they are not scared of heights. Passes are sold per route level, so a mixed-age family can each pick their own challenge, and add-ons like the 10-metre Quick Jump are there for whoever needs to prove something. Buggy safaris built for families

An off-road buggy ride through the Istrian countryside sounds like a teenagers-only activity, but the local operators run dedicated family formats where children ride as passengers with a parent driving.
