Family Boat Tour Pula - Private 4h Sailing with Swimming & SUP
A family boat tour in Pula works best when nobody is rushed and everyone gets what they came for - swimming for the kids, a cold drink and a quiet deck for the grown-ups, and a route that bends around the day rather than a fixed timetable. This private four-hour sailing trip does exactly that. The boat is yours alone, so the whole afternoon flexes around your family and friends.
A Private Half-Day Sail for Families and Friends
This is a fully private sailboat, not a shared excursion, departing from the Pula waterfront. With up to 8 guests and just your group on board, the skipper keeps the pace relaxed and the mood easy - ideal for families with children and groups of friends who want time together on the water without the crowds or the clock of a big tour boat.
Sailing the Brijuni Islands
The afternoon is spent sailing around the Brijuni archipelago, a national park of green islands and clear, sheltered channels just off Pula. Under sail the boat moves gently, the kids can watch the coast go by, and the calm bays are perfect for the swim stops that make the day. It is scenery and swimming in easy measure, all at a kid-friendly pace.
Swimming, Snorkeling, SUP and Cliff Jumping
The skipper anchors in quiet coves for swimming and snorkeling in clear, calm water. A stand-up paddleboard is on board for the kids and adults to try, and for older children and brave grown-ups there is optional cliff jumping from heights of up to 15 meters. Nothing is compulsory - the day works just as well for gentle swimmers who prefer to stay close to the boat.
Relaxed, Flexible and Stress-Free
The whole point of a private family sail is that it flexes around you. More swim time, a longer stop in a favorite bay, a shorter trip if little ones tire - the skipper adjusts as the afternoon goes. Drinks are on board and included, the atmosphere is calm, and there is no pressure to keep up with a group or a schedule.
Memories to Take Home
A GoPro is on board and the footage from your trip is included, so the cliff jumps, the swims and the sailing are all recorded for you. It means the adults can be present with the kids rather than filming, and the family goes home with a proper record of the day rather than a few phone snaps.
Who This Family Tour Is For
This trip suits families with children who can swim, multi-generational groups, and friends who want a laid-back afternoon on the sea. With space for up to 8 guests and a flexible private format, it is one of the easiest, most relaxed ways to get a family out on the Adriatic near Pula.
Why Families Choose a Private Boat
On a big shared boat, families are tied to a fixed loop, a set turnaround time and whatever the crowd wants. A private family boat tour in Pula removes all of that pressure: you swim where the water is calmest, stay longer if the kids are happy, and head back early if they are not. No queues, no strangers, and a skipper who keeps the whole afternoon safe and easy - that is worth far more than a cheaper seat on a crowded excursion when children are on board.
Best Time for a Family Sail in Pula
The warm months from late spring into early autumn are ideal, with calm seas and sea temperatures perfect for swimming. Mornings tend to be quietest and best for younger children, while afternoons suit families who like a slower start - on a private charter you simply pick the time that fits your family's rhythm.
What Is Included and What to Bring
The charter includes the sailboat and licensed skipper for the full four hours, fuel, drinks, snorkeling gear, and SUP and GoPro footage. Bring towels, swimwear, sunscreen, hats and a light layer for the kids - everything else you need is already on board.
Departure, Duration and Booking
The tour lasts about four hours and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town. Booking includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and your skipper will help you move to another slot if the weather turns.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
