Lim Bay Sea Kayaking
Lim Bay Sea Kayaking tour is a perfect one-day experience. The Lim Bay, also known as the channel or the Croatia fjord, is located on the west coast of Istria. It is part of the 35 km long Lim Valley, which stretches almost to the middle of Istria. The bay itself is almost 13 km long, surrounded by cliffs covered with evergreen vegetation.
Since 1964, it has been a legally protected geomorphological and hydrogeological site as an important landscape. In 1980, it was declared a special marine reserve. A peculiar feature of the water in the bay is that it is partly brackish. Its underwater sources of fresh water create a high concentration of oxygen, ensuring a rich and diverse range of sea species. This trove of marine life is also very well-known for its fish and oyster farms.
You will meet with your guide in the Poreč / Vrsar area and have the local transfer of approx. 25 minutes to the starting point at Lim bay. The guide will introduce you to the tour and equipment and have a safety talk. We invite you to join us on our one-day trip and enjoy the crystal clear sea, serene landscape, and a small rocky beach. The kayaking tour in the Lim Channel was a great addition to our vacation. The nature there is absolutely beautiful! Our guide, Vedran, was fantastic. During our break, he treated us to coffee and fresh watermelon, which was a lovely surprise. We also had a great time swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear water. The guide Ilija was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the kayak tour. The scenery was beautiful, and it was really enjoyable spotting the dolphins and learning interesting facts about the area. The pace was perfect, making it suitable for both beginners and more experienced kayakers. Ilija also offered me a drink and snacks during the tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. After the tour finished, I greatly appreciated receiving the photos he took during as well. Everything was well organised, which made the activity fun, relaxing, and memorable. A highlight of my trip - I would definitely do it again!

Fantastic evening trip down the Lim Fjord. Ilija was a great guide, professional and friendly with lots of information. Setting is beautiful. Ended where we started with a beautiful sunset and a display by dolphins.

We are very grateful to Vedran for the sunset kayaking tour. We were picked up right from the hotel, and we were able to leave our bags in the car and change clothes after the trip. Everything went great and was very interesting. We were also offered drinks and snacks. During the tour, we were photographed a lot, and we got some great photos. At the end, we were lucky enough to see dolphins, which was a pleasant surprise for everyone. We highly recommend this tour, which is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories.

Along the way, we paddled through crystal-clear waters filled with fish, stopped at a wild beach for a refreshing swim, and for a moment, it truly felt like time had stopped. It was like being transported to a simpler, untouched world. Ilija was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and passionate – we couldn’t have wished for a better guide.
