Truffle hunting is possible almost all year round, depending on the season of individual species:
White truffle (Tuber magnatum Pico): from September to January
Black summer truffle (Tuber aestivum): from May to September
Black winter truffle (Tuber brumale): from January to March
Black noble truffle (Tuber melanosporum): from December to March

Without a doubt, one of thé best places to visit when in Rovinj! A real hidden gem, easily missed, but so worth it! The stairs lead to a little shop, owned by a lovely lady, which has some of the best wines and spritzes we have tasted while in Rovinj. After getting your drinks, sit down on the stairs and enjoy a beautiful sunset in peace. The ambiance is one the greatest you will find! I highly recommend stopping by!

Stopped in for a beautiful sunset and had some fabulous wine and cheese board full of truffle cheese. It was out of this world! Mirjana was so friendly, helpful and interesting. A hidden treasure!

This place - wow. It’s a truffle shop - I don’t like truffle, but it sells wine (buy the bottle) and you can drink it on probably the best staircase in Europe! The team (I suspect mum and daughter) are beautiful people!

A Hidden Gem by the Sea! Absolutely loved this place! We stopped here for a glass of rosé and a local tasting platter, and everything was simply perfect. The truffle cheeses were incredible, the homemade cured meats were delicious, and every bite was full of amazing local flavors. The atmosphere is charming and relaxing, with a beautiful seaside setting, and the staff made us feel so welcome. We truly enjoyed every minute and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Lovely family-owned shop selling an array of truffles and truffle-based products! Marco, knowledgeable, energetic and kind, was super helpful with walking me through the variety of truffles they have in the shop. The white truffles with mushrooms and balsamic with white truffles are an absolute must try and are top quality! Hvala and I’ll be back.
