Sunset Cruise Pula - Private Dolphin Boat Tour with Drinks & Swim
A sunset cruise in Pula is the gentlest, most beautiful way to end a summer day, and doing it privately makes it something special. For three unhurried hours the boat is yours alone: you cruise toward the Brijuni Islands as the light softens, keep an eye out for dolphins, slip into a calm bay for an evening swim, and watch the sun go down with a drink in hand. No crowds, no schedule - just your group and the golden hour.
A Private Evening on the Adriatic
This is a fully private sunset charter, not a shared seat on a big evening boat. You leave the Pula waterfront in the late afternoon, just as the heat eases and the sea settles, with up to 11 guests and the whole boat reserved for you. The result is calm and personal - the opposite of a crowded party cruise - and it flexes entirely around what your group feels like doing.
Dolphin Watching at Dusk
The evening waters around the Brijuni archipelago are one of the better places near Pula to spot wild dolphins, and dusk is when they most often appear. As the boat cruises and drifts, everyone watches the surface for a fin breaking the calm. Sightings can never be guaranteed - these are wild animals - but the quiet evening sea gives you a genuine chance, and simply gliding along a golden coast is a reward in itself.
An Evening Swim and SUP
On the way the skipper anchors in a sheltered bay for a swim in the warm evening water. A stand-up paddleboard is on board if you want to explore the shoreline, or you can simply float and watch the sky change colour. Swimming as the sun drops, with the crowds gone and the light turning pink and orange, is one of those small Adriatic moments that stays with you.
Drinks and Golden-Hour Views
Back on board, drinks - water, soft drinks and local favourites - are included as you settle in for the sunset. This tour keeps things simple and relaxed: no set dinner sitting, just an easy evening cruise with good views, cold drinks and the best seats on the water. A GoPro records the evening so you can put your phone away and just enjoy it, and the footage is yours to take home afterwards.
Who This Sunset Cruise Is For
A private sunset cruise suits couples after a romantic evening, families who want a calm end to a beach day, and groups of friends looking for something relaxed. With space for up to 11 guests and a gentle, unhurried pace, it is an easy, memorable way to spend an evening in Pula - and a popular choice for anniversaries and special occasions.
What Is Included and What to Bring
The private charter includes the boat and licensed skipper for the full evening, fuel, drinks, a SUP, snorkeling gear and GoPro footage. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and a light layer for the cooler ride back once the sun is down - everything else is already on board.
Departure, Duration and Booking
The tour lasts around three hours and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town and the Arena. Departure times shift through the season so the cruise always lines up with the actual sunset. Booking includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with help to reschedule if the weather turns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are we guaranteed to see dolphins?
No - dolphins are wild, so sightings can never be promised. The evening waters near the Brijuni Islands are among the more reliable spots near Pula, and the calm dusk conditions give you a real chance.
How long is the private sunset cruise?
About three hours. The departure time changes with the season so the cruise always coincides with sunset.
Is food included?
This tour includes drinks rather than a meal - it is a relaxed sunset cruise. If you would like a BBQ dinner on board, ask about our sunset dolphin tour with BBQ instead.
How many guests can join?
Up to 11 guests, with the whole boat private to your group.
Is there time to swim?
Yes, the skipper anchors in a calm bay for an evening swim, and a SUP is on board if you would like to use it.
Is this suitable for a proposal or anniversary?
Very much so - the private boat and the sunset make it a favourite for special evenings. Let us know in advance if you are planning something.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, with help to move to another evening if poor weather is forecast.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
