A Pula sunset dolphin tour is the perfect way to end a summer day, and adding a BBQ dinner on board makes it a proper evening out. Over three easy hours you cruise toward the Brijuni Islands as the light turns gold, watch for dolphins, stop for a swim, and sit down to a fresh BBQ dinner as the sun goes down - all in a friendly group and at a per-person price.

An Evening Cruise from Pula

Leaving the Pula waterfront in the late afternoon, this tour gathers a sociable group of up to 12 guests for a relaxed evening on the water. As the heat eases and the sea settles, the boat cruises gently along the coast toward the Brijuni archipelago, with the whole evening building toward dinner and sunset. It is calm, friendly and a world away from a loud party boat.

Dolphin Watching at Dusk

The evening waters around Brijuni are one of the better places near Pula to spot wild dolphins, and dusk is when they most often appear. As the boat cruises and drifts, everyone watches the calm surface for a fin. Sightings can never be guaranteed - these are wild animals - but the quiet evening conditions give you a real chance, and the search along a golden coast is a joy in itself.

A Golden-Hour Swim Stop

On the way the skipper anchors in a sheltered bay for a swim in the warm evening sea. Swimming as the sun drops, with the daytime crowds long gone and the light turning pink and orange, is one of the simple pleasures of an Istrian summer evening - and it works up an appetite for dinner.

BBQ Dinner and Drinks on Board

As the light fades the skipper fires up the on-board BBQ and dinner is grilled fresh at sea. You eat on deck, drinks in hand, while the sunset does its work over the horizon. It is a warm, unfussy dinner in one of the best seats on the Adriatic, and it is all part of the per-person price - no separate bill, no upselling.

Perfect Light for Photos

Golden hour on the water is a gift for photographers of every level. Between the low sun, the silhouetted islands and the chance of a dolphin surfacing, there is no shortage of things to capture - and few better backdrops for an evening than the Brijuni coast at sunset.

Who This Sunset BBQ Tour Is For

This trip suits couples, families and groups of friends who want a beautiful evening with dinner included, without the cost of a private boat. If you enjoy a sociable atmosphere, good food and a stunning sunset, it is an ideal fit. Prefer the whole boat to yourselves? Ask about our private sunset dolphin tour with BBQ instead.

Why a Small Group Beats a Big Dinner Boat

Many sunset dinner cruises around Pula pack dozens of guests onto a large boat with a buffet line and a packed deck. This trip keeps the group to 12, so dinner is relaxed, the swim stop is unhurried, and the evening feels personal. You pay a fair per-person price and get something much closer to a private boat than a crowded dinner cruise - the sunset, the dolphins and the BBQ, without the crowd.

Best Time of Year for a Sunset Dolphin Tour

Sunset dolphin tours run through the warm season from late spring into early autumn, when the evenings are long, the sea is calm and dolphin sightings near Brijuni are at their most likely. High summer brings the warmest evening swims, while late spring and early autumn offer softer light and quieter waters - all of them beautiful for dinner on the water.

What Is Included and What to Bring

The tour includes the boat and licensed skipper for the evening, fuel, a BBQ dinner, drinks and snorkeling gear. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and a light layer for once the sun is down and the breeze cools - everything else is already on board.

Departure, Duration and Booking

The tour lasts around three hours and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town and the Arena. Departure times shift with the season so the cruise always coincides with sunset. Booking is per person and includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with help to reschedule if the weather turns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is dinner really included?

Yes. A BBQ dinner is grilled fresh on board and included in the per-person price, along with drinks.

Will we see dolphins?

Possibly - dolphins are wild, so it can never be guaranteed. The evening waters near Brijuni are among the more reliable spots near Pula, and the calm dusk conditions give you a real chance.

How many people are on the boat?

Up to 12 guests. It is a friendly small-group cruise, not a big 40-seat dinner boat.

Is there time to swim?

Yes, the skipper anchors in a calm, sheltered bay for an evening swim before dinner, so you can cool off as the light turns gold.

Is this tour suitable for families and children?

Yes - the calm evening sea, the swim stop and the relaxed dinner make it a lovely family outing, and buoyancy aids are available on request for younger swimmers.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is per person, which makes it one of the best-value sunset dinner cruises in Pula.

Can we book the whole boat privately?

Yes - if you would prefer complete privacy, ask about our private sunset dolphin tour with BBQ for your group alone.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, with help to move to another evening if poor weather is forecast.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
