Pula Sailing Tour - Small-Group Adventure with Snorkeling & Swim Stops

A Pula sailing tour does not have to mean chartering a whole boat. This small-group trip takes no more than six guests out for four hours of daytime sailing around the Brijuni Islands, with snorkeling, swim stops and a SUP - all the fun of a boat day at an easy per-person price. It is for people whose favourite part of any sea trip is the time spent in the water.

A Small-Group Sailing Adventure from Pula

Unlike the big group boats that pack in dozens of passengers, this is a genuinely small group - a maximum of six guests on an intimate sailboat. You share the day with just a handful of other travellers, which keeps the boat relaxed and sociable while still costing far less than a private charter. It is the sweet spot between a crowded excursion and an expensive private day.

Sailing the Brijuni Islands

The route runs around the Brijuni archipelago, a national park of green islands and clear, sheltered channels just off Pula. Under sail the boat moves gently past the protected coast, stopping in calm bays where the water is clear and the swimming is excellent. It is scenery and swimming in equal measure, at the unhurried pace that makes sailing special.

Snorkeling, Swimming and SUP

The heart of the trip is time in the water. The skipper anchors in quiet coves and hands out snorkeling gear so you can drift over the seabed watching the fish, and a stand-up paddleboard is on board for anyone who wants to explore the shoreline. Because the boat is small, it reaches shallow, sheltered spots the larger boats simply cannot.

Optional Cliff Jumping and GoPro Memories

For the adventurous there is optional cliff jumping from heights of up to 15 metres into deep, clear water - a highlight for thrill-seekers and great GoPro material. The GoPro is on board and the footage from your day is included, so you can jump, snorkel and swim without worrying about filming it yourself.

Who This Small-Group Tour Is For

This trip suits couples, solo travellers and small groups of friends who want an active day on the water without the cost of a private boat. If you enjoy meeting other travellers and love snorkeling and swimming, the small-group sailing tour is an ideal fit. Prefer complete privacy or a bigger group? Ask about our private charters instead.

Why a Small Group Beats a Big Boat

The large excursion boats around Pula can carry dozens of passengers, which means queues to get in the water, noise, and little time in each bay. A small group of six is a completely different experience: the skipper knows everyone, the swim stops feel unhurried, and you actually get room to snorkel and relax. You pay a fair per-person price and still get something close to the intimacy of a private boat.

Best Time for Snorkeling near Pula

The clear water around the Brijuni Islands is at its best through the warm months from late spring into early autumn, when the sea is calm and warm and visibility is high. Mornings and early afternoons usually offer the flattest water for snorkeling - and on a small-group sail the skipper picks the calmest, clearest bays on the day.

What Is Included and What to Bring

The tour includes the sailboat and licensed skipper for the full four hours, fuel, snorkeling gear, a SUP and GoPro footage. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and a hat - everything else you need is already on board.

Departure, Duration and Booking

The tour lasts about four hours and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town. Booking is per person and includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with help to reschedule if the weather turns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people are on the boat?

A maximum of six guests. It is a small-group tour, so you share the boat with only a few other travellers rather than a big crowd.

Is snorkeling gear provided?

Yes, snorkeling masks and a SUP are on board and included, along with GoPro footage from your day.

Is cliff jumping compulsory?

Not at all - it is entirely optional. Many guests just snorkel, swim and paddle instead.

How long is the sailing tour?

About four hours of daytime sailing, with swim and snorkel stops along the way.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is per person, which makes it one of the best-value sailing tours in Pula compared with chartering a whole private boat.

Do we need sailing or snorkeling experience?

No experience is needed. The skipper handles the boat and briefs you on the snorkeling, and the swim stops are in calm, sheltered bays.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, with help to reschedule if poor weather is forecast.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
