Private Sailing Pula - Full-Day Sailboat Charter to the Brijuni Islands
There is a difference between riding on a boat and actually sailing. A private sailing tour in Pula is the quieter, slower, more romantic way to spend a day on the Adriatic - wind in the sails instead of an engine, the boat leaning gently into the breeze, and a full day around the Brijuni Islands with nowhere you have to be. The sailboat is reserved for your group alone, so the whole day unfolds at the pace of the wind and your own appetite for swimming.
A Private Sailboat Charter from Pula
This is a genuine private sailing experience, not a seat on a crowded motor excursion. From the Pula waterfront you set out on an intimate sailboat with just your group on board - up to 8 guests - and a skipper who reads the wind and the coast. The smaller number keeps the day personal and calm: there is room to stretch out, and the sailing itself becomes part of the experience rather than just transport between stops.
Sailing the Brijuni Islands
The day is built around the Brijuni archipelago, a national park of green islands and clear channels just off the Pula coast. Under sail you glide between the islands, past the protected shoreline, into sheltered bays where the water is calm and transparent. Seeing Brijuni from a sailboat - slowly, quietly, with the sails up - is a very different experience from a fast motorboat loop, and one that stays with you.
Swimming, Snorkeling and Cliff Jumping
Throughout the day the skipper anchors in quiet coves for swimming and snorkeling. The water around Brijuni is famously clear, ideal for drifting over the seabed with a mask, and for those who want a thrill there is optional cliff jumping from heights of up to 15 meters. Prefer to stay aboard with a glass of wine? That is exactly the kind of day this is designed for.
Local Wine, Drinks and Istrian Tapas
Sailing and good food belong together. On board you will find local wine, cold beer, soft drinks and water, along with traditional Istrian tapas to graze on throughout the day - all included. There is no set lunch sitting and no rush; you eat and drink as the day drifts along, between swims and stretches under sail.
Who This Private Sailing Day Is For
A private sailing tour suits couples after a romantic day, small groups of friends who want something calmer than a party boat, and anyone curious to experience the Adriatic the traditional way - under sail. With space for up to 8 guests it stays intimate, making it a lovely choice for a special occasion or simply a slow, beautiful day at the sea.
No Sailing Experience Needed
You do not need to know a thing about sailing to enjoy this trip. The skipper handles everything, and you are welcome to simply relax and watch the coast slide by. If you are curious, though, they are happy to explain how the boat works and even let you take a turn at the helm - a small thrill that many guests remember most.
Why Sail Instead of Motor
A motorboat gets you to the bays quickly; a sailboat makes the journey the point. Under sail the day is quieter - no engine drone, just the wind and the water - and slower in the best sense, giving you time to actually watch the Brijuni coast unfold. For couples and small groups who want calm and character rather than speed and crowds, private sailing in Pula is simply the most memorable way to spend a day on the Adriatic.
What Is Included and What to Bring
The charter includes the sailboat and licensed skipper for the full day, fuel, local wine and drinks, Istrian tapas, snorkeling gear and a SUP. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen, a hat and a light layer for the sail home. Soft-soled or bare feet are best on deck - everything else you need is already on board.
Departure, Duration and Booking
The tour runs roughly from 09:00 to 17:00 and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town and the Arena. Sailing depends on the wind, so the exact route flexes with conditions on the day. Booking includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with help to reschedule if the weather turns.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
