Half-Day Boat Tour Pula - Private 4h Charter with BBQ, Snorkeling & SUP

Not every group has a whole day to give to the sea - and they do not need to. A private half-day boat tour in Pula packs the best of an Adriatic day into four focused hours: a cruise along the coast, snorkeling and swimming in clear bays, a BBQ grilled on board, and enough time in the water to feel like a proper escape. The boat is reserved for your group alone, so even a short trip feels unhurried and private.

A Private Half-Day Charter from Pula

This is a fully private boat, not a shared excursion. From the Pula waterfront your skipper heads out along the Istrian coast with just your group on board - up to 12 guests - and shapes the four hours around what you feel like doing. Want more time snorkeling and less cruising? More swim stops and a longer lunch? On a private charter that is entirely up to you.

Toward Cape Kamenjak and the Brijuni Bays

Depending on the wind and your preference, the route runs toward the wild coast of Cape Kamenjak, with its cliffs and hidden coves, or into the sheltered bays around the Brijuni Islands. Both are within easy reach on a half-day trip and both offer the clear, calm water that Pula is known for - the kind of spots the large group boats pass by without stopping.

Snorkeling, Swimming and SUP

The heart of the trip is time in the water. The skipper anchors in a quiet cove and hands out snorkeling gear, and a stand-up paddleboard is on board for anyone who wants to explore the shoreline at their own pace. The water here is clear enough to watch fish dart along the rocks, and because the boat is small it reaches shallow, sheltered spots that stay calm and swimmable.

BBQ and Drinks on Board

Even on a half-day trip there is time to eat well. The skipper fires up the on-board BBQ in a calm bay and lunch is grilled fresh while you swim, with unlimited drinks - water, soft drinks and local favourites - included throughout. There is no separate bill and no upselling; the food and drink are part of the private charter price.

Morning or Afternoon Departure

The half-day format runs as a morning or an afternoon trip, so it slots neatly around the rest of your day in Pula. Take the morning tour and still have the afternoon for the old town and the Arena, or sleep in and head out after lunch - both departures cover the same bays, snorkeling and BBQ.

Who This Half-Day Tour Is For

This trip is ideal for families and groups who want a real boat experience without committing to a full day, cruise-ship passengers with limited time ashore, and anyone combining the boat with other Pula sightseeing. With space for up to 12 guests and a flexible, private format, it works for birthdays and small groups just as well as for families with children.

Why a Private Half-Day Beats a Group Boat

Shared half-day trips pack strangers onto a fixed loop with a strict turnaround time. A private half-day boat tour in Pula gives you the same coast without any of that: your own skipper, your own pace, and stops chosen for the best water rather than the biggest group. Four hours on a boat that is genuinely yours feels far longer and far more relaxed than the same time squeezed onto a crowded excursion.

Half-Day or Full-Day: Which to Choose

If you want a taste of the Adriatic and still have time for Pula's old town, the Arena and dinner ashore, the half-day is the right call. If you would rather make the sea the whole day - reaching both Brijuni and Kamenjak, with a longer lunch and more swim stops - the full-day charter is the better fit. Both are private; the half-day simply concentrates the highlights into four hours.

What Is Included and What to Bring

The charter includes the boat and licensed skipper for the full four hours, fuel, the on-board BBQ, unlimited drinks, snorkeling masks, a SUP and GoPro footage from the trip. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and a hat - everything else you need for the day is already on board.

Departure, Duration and Booking

The tour lasts about four hours and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town. Booking includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and your skipper will help you move to another slot if the weather turns.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
