Great experience! Rene with his family is running a small business. We had an excursion of oil production and tasting oil. Rene prepared a plate of local cheeses, salami, veg, fruits, and home-baked bread. We tried homemade elderflower syrup and great white wine 🍾 👍everything was very delicious. The best was fish which Rene grilled for us with olive oil as his family prepares for themselves. It was so tasty. We recommend you to visit Rene and his olive farm ❤️ you won't regret👍

Excellent olive oil tasting experience, very knowledgeable guide, a beautiful estate of the family for many generations! He speaks fluently many languages and his knowledge of the olive oil industry is fantastic, the stories we heard and the experience we had were amazing! The food pairing and the homemade wine, all local- just a magic touch. And the grappa at the end were the cherry on the cake of an already perfect experience. The place is close to Umag- just 10 min drive, nested in the beautiful hills of Istria, this is an experience I highly recommend if you are close to Umag visiting! Thank you to out host! Well done!

❤️🫰👍🏿it was an excellent tour for olive oil tasting and local food products. Knowledge is priceless to differentiate what is a top grade extra virgin oil. Ham, sausage, cheese, shot, ice cream and wine are all exquisite selection. The farming tips, tips on using olive oil, pairing with food are lifetime knowledge. The tour still ran well for me under a heavy rain. we had the session indoor.

We booked the olive oil tasting through Airbnb (22€/person and we were 3) and it was sooo worth it! We learned a lot about olive oil production and tasting, we could enjoy a huge platter or local cheese, charcuterie and home made bread, along with their very own wine, elderflower juice and some olive liqueur. Then we bought some olive oil and went to visit the olive groves, where we learned more about the trees. Definitely a great experience, our host Rene was really kind and you should definitely book the experience directly by calling him (rather than Airbnb taking a commission on it ;) ) Oh and by the way, the oil is amazing!

The moment we parked our car we knew it will be a great experience. The oil tasting visit began with a presentation with the process of obtaining premium extra virgin oil that took place in an authentic olive oil tasting room. It was very interesting and received some very useful info. After the presentation we tasted the premium grand cuvee oil with some home made istrian food and local wine. We learnt how to distinguish good and bad olive oil😁 After we played a little but with Lord (a cute dog) we visited also the olive grove where we some 14 types of olive trees and how they should be treated to receive high quality fruits❤ It was such a great experience! The host is very passionate and shared all his knowledge and info that we, olive oil consumers need to know😁 He was very friendly, hospitably and prompt and the place is sooo amazing! You definitely need to visit this place❤
