Cycling old railway Parenzana
Parenzana was a 123 km long railway line that went through the Istrian countryside, connecting 33 places in Istria, from Trieste (Trieste) to Poreč. Today it passes the territories of Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
The railway operated between 1902 and 1935 and it represented a vital connection between villages and towns that were on the route, transporting passengers, wine, olive oil, stone, coal, wood, and many other resources.
In 2006, The Parenzana revival project started. This project restored and converted the line into a cycling trail. What had once fallen into oblivion, today is known as the most visited cycling and hiking trail in Istria. The biking route is not very demanding and thus appropriate for beginners, families, and regular cyclists. Travel through the idyllic scenery, past typical medieval towns and villages, across numerous bridges and exciting tunnels.

The kayaking tour in the Lim Channel was a great addition to our vacation. The nature there is absolutely beautiful! Our guide, Vedran, was fantastic. During our break, he treated us to coffee and fresh watermelon, which was a lovely surprise. We also had a great time swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear water. The guide Ilija was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the kayak tour. The scenery was beautiful, and it was really enjoyable spotting the dolphins and learning interesting facts about the area. The pace was perfect, making it suitable for both beginners and more experienced kayakers. Ilija also offered me a drink and snacks during the tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. After the tour finished, I greatly appreciated receiving the photos he took during as well. Everything was well organised, which made the activity fun, relaxing, and memorable. A highlight of my trip - I would definitely do it again!

Fantastic evening trip down the Lim Fjord. Ilija was a great guide, professional and friendly with lots of information. Setting is beautiful. Ended where we started with a beautiful sunset and a display by dolphins.

We are very grateful to Vedran for the sunset kayaking tour. We were picked up right from the hotel, and we were able to leave our bags in the car and change clothes after the trip. Everything went great and was very interesting. We were also offered drinks and snacks. During the tour, we were photographed a lot, and we got some great photos. At the end, we were lucky enough to see dolphins, which was a pleasant surprise for everyone. We highly recommend this tour, which is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories.

Our guide Ilija was fantastic! He took us along the coastline, shared interesting stories about the history of the fjord and the canal and introduced us to the local tradition of mussel farming. Along the way, we paddled through crystal-clear waters filled with fish, stopped at a wild beach for a refreshing swim, and for a moment, it truly felt like time had stopped. It was like being transported to a simpler, untouched world. Ilija was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and passionate – we couldn’t have wished for a better guide.
