Brijuni Sunset & Dolphin Cruise from Pula - Small-Group Sail with Drinks
The Brijuni Islands at sunset are one of the most beautiful sights on the Istrian coast, and this small-group cruise from Pula is built entirely around them. Over three easy evening hours you sail towards the archipelago as the light turns gold, watching for dolphins, stopping for a swim, and settling in with a drink as the sun drops - all at a friendly, per-person price.
A Small-Group Sunset Cruise from Pula
This is a genuinely small group - a maximum of eight guests - not one of the big 40-seat dinner boats. You share the evening with just a handful of fellow travelers, which keeps the cruise relaxed and personal while costing far less than a private charter. It is the sociable, affordable way to see the Brijuni coast at the loveliest hour of the day.
Toward the Brijuni Islands at Golden Hour
Leaving the Pula waterfront in the late afternoon, the boat sails out towards the Brijuni National Park archipelago just as the heat eases and the sea settles. The islands glow in the low sun, the water turns copper and rose, and the views back towards Pula's Roman skyline are unforgettable. This stretch of coast is made for a sunset, and seeing it from the water is the best seat in the house.
Dolphin Watching in the Evening
The waters around Brijuni are one of the best places near Pula to spot wild dolphins, and dusk is when they most often appear. As the boat sails and drifts, everyone keeps watch for a fine breaking the calm surface. Sightings can never be guaranteed - these are wild animals - but the quiet evening conditions and the sheltered archipelago give you a genuine chance to see them.
An Evening Swim and SUP
On the way the skipper anchors in a sheltered bay for a swim in the warm evening sea. A stand-up paddleboard is on board if you would like to explore the shoreline, or you can simply float and watch the sky change color. Swimming as the sun goes down, with the daytime crowds long gone, is one of the simple pleasures of an Istrian summer evening.
Drinks and Sunset Views
Back on board, drinks are included as you settle in for the main event. The mood is relaxed and social - a small group, cold drinks in hand, and the Brijuni Islands silhouetted against a burning sky. There is no set dinner and no rush, just an easy, beautiful evening cruise and one of the best-value sunset experiences in Pula.
Perfect Light for Photos
Golden hour over Brijuni is a gift for photographers of every level. Between the low sun, the silhouetted islands and the chance of a dolphin surfacing, there is no shortage of things to capture. Even a phone camera comes home with memorable shots from an evening like this.
Who This Small-Group Cruise Is For
This trip suits couples, solo travelers and small groups of friends who want a beautiful Brijuni sunset without the cost of a private boat. If you enjoy meeting other travelers and want a calm, scenic evening, the small-group cruise is a perfect fit. Prefer complete privacy? Ask about our private sunset dolphin tours instead.
Best Time of Year for a Brijuni Sunset Cruise
Sunset cruises run through the warm season from late spring into early autumn, when the evenings are long, the sea is calm and dolphin sightings near Brijuni are at their most likely. High summer offers the warmest evening swims, while late spring and early autumn bring softer light and quieter waters - any of them makes for a beautiful evening on the Adriatic.
What Is Included and What to Bring
The tour includes the boat and licensed skipper for the evening, fuel, drinks, a SUP and snorkeling gear. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and a light layer for once the sun is down and the breeze cools - everything else is already on board.
Departure, Duration and Booking
The cruise lasts around three hours and departs from the Pula waterfront (Riva), a short walk from the old town and the Arena. Departure times shift with the season so the sail always coincides with sunset. Booking is per person and includes free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with help to reschedule if the weather turns.

It was a very nice boat trip with a good and family-like vibe. The food was also very good and more than enough for everyone. The swim stop was very fun. We could jump of the platform on top of the boat and also had amazing views. Greetings from Belgium!

Was a super nice experience! We went sailing and snorkelling in beautiful spots where there were hardly any other people, which made it feel really special. There were only six of us on the boat, making it perfect if you’re looking for a more intimate and relaxed sailing experience. The organisers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. The whole trip felt very personal, and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pula and Fažana who wants to escape the crowds and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

The organizer of the program is a very friendly and helpful guy, who's given us all information about the tour and how to approach the boat. On the tour we've got a welcome like when you come home to your family. Peaceful, calming, fun experience. It's not a luxury trip, it's a tour with good your friends.
