About this crossing
Cross the Adriatic from Istria's UNESCO-listed Poreč straight to the heart of Venice. The catamaran sails first to Piran on the Slovenian coast for a brief stop, then on to Venice, arriving roughly five hours after departure.
Onboard you'll find comfortable indoor seating with panoramic windows, an outdoor deck for the photo-takers, and a small bar serving coffee, drinks and light snacks. Settle in with a book, order an Aperol Spritz, or just watch the coastline drift past.
It's a relaxed alternative to driving through Trieste and the Italian toll roads, with no border queues to worry about. Most peak-season days run a single round trip, so the route works beautifully as a long day out in Venice if you book a same-day return.
Venice docking is at Fondamenta Nuove on the lagoon side of the city, a short vaporetto hop from St Mark's Square. Coffee on the Riva at breakfast, Aperol on Piazza San Marco by lunch.
